Oana Marinescu is an accomplished legal professional with over 25 years of experience, specialising in corporate governance, complex commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance. She holds a Master of Laws from the University of Bucharest (1994) and completed a postgraduate program in Private Law (2013), equipping her with a robust foundation in civil and procedural law.

Marinescu has held several key leadership roles throughout her career, most recently serving as legal director at Altex Romania since 2019. In this capacity, she oversees the corporate governance of multiple companies within the Altex Group, mitigating legal risks in retail, real estate, supply chain, and nonfinancial institutions. Her expertise extends to managing legal complexities associated with large-scale corporate transactions.

Before joining Altex, she led the legal division at Patria Bank and Garanti Bank, where she played a crucial role in high-profile mergers, including the integration of Garanti Bank SA with Domenia Credit IFN SA. Her tenure at Garanti Bank also involved directing legal operations across multiple subsidiaries and overseeing bond issuances.

Marinescu’s extensive experience in the banking sector, including positions at Bancpost, HVB Tiriac Bank, and Banca Turco Romana, highlights her capacity to manage legal departments, liaise with regulatory authorities, and ensure compliance with national and international banking regulations.
