Spotlight on: My career

Roxana is a multidisciplinary trained lawyer, with both consultancy and litigation expertise. She has over 13 years of experience and is a qualified lawyer within Bucharest Bar. She graduated from Faculty of Law within University of Bucharest and has a LLM in Business Law, focused on commercial and competition law. The first part of her career she spent within large law firms in Bucharest, such as D&B David si Baias (connected law firm of PwC), switching to an in-house role in 2018 at Nestlé, the larger food producer in the world.

At Nestlé Romania, Roxana acts as general counsel, being the lead of legal and compliance department for Romania and Moldova and one of the members of the management committee of the company. In her current position, Roxana provides support for Nestle’s ten businesses/categories present in Romania and Moldova. Her focus is on meeting the business goals while maintaining full compliance vigilance. Additionally, Roxana acts as an advocate within the organisations the company is part of.

Roxana is known for being an articulate and focused professional, with a proven history of making practical and effective decisions and finding innovative solutions to legal problems. Highly versatile, able to manage multiple projects and interdisciplinary teams, while working in fast-paced environments.

With over a decade of service, Roxana has participated, in 2023/24, in over 30 cases and transactions for the company, surpassing the previous record of a corporate counsel within the company. This achievement makes her one of the most sought after in-house legal counsel that still practices today in the country and a very appealing target for local and regional law firms. As of today, her inclusion the GC Powerlist: Romania 2024 is a testament to her work and ability, but also to her experience and relevance in working to grow the in-house legal community in the country, looked now as rockstars, other than just a corner room in the company office. Roxana makes being a corporate lawyer look cool. This transition, not only acclaims merit, but great recognition.
