How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
In 2020 for example, as head of corporate legal and patents of Forvia Hella Romania, I navigated through the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic. This period required rapid adaptation to evolving legislative changes, impacting every level of our organisation. One of the most significant insights from that experience is the critical role of trust in fostering organisational resilience. Within a trust-based framework, legal and business strategies must align to serve a common purpose. It is essential for both sides to remain clear on their roles: the legal team’s role is to support the business, while business leaders are responsible for driving it forward.
What emerging technologies do you see as having the most significant impact on the legal profession in the near future, and how do you stay updated on these developments?
Though the answer may evolve quickly, Generative AI is emerging as one of the most transformative technologies impacting our profession. While it might be perceived as a threat, Generative AI – when properly trained and deployed – has the potential to become an invaluable asset for research, directly contributing to our success. In today’s fast-paced environment, staying current is indeed challenging; however, a commitment to continuous learning and an innate curiosity have enabled me to keep pace with the new technologies that capture my interest.
