Bio
With over 20 years in the legal field, I lead the legal and collection departments at Agricover Credit IFN SA, driving digital transformation. As legal manager, I ensure efficient legal advisory, soft and hard collection processes. Key projects include implementing a Microsoft Dynamics platform integrated with SAP to automate collections, enhance real-time monitoring, and boost productivity; introducing Southeast Europe’s first SAP Collection Module for automated debt recovery; developing BI tools for real-time insights; and creating an AI-driven solution for instant contract verification and faster legal processes. Before taking on my current role, I held the position of Head of Collection Office, where I developed effective debt recovery strategies, and as Senior Legal Counsel, where I provided strategic legal advice to support the company’s business objectives.
My dedication to sustainability and community engagement is reflected in my role as President of the Eco Natura Comunitatii Baicoi Association, where I volunteer to promote ecological initiatives and sustainable development. In May 2020, I expanded my commitment to environmental advocacy by taking on the role of Coordinator at Radio Eco Natura. This initiative was created to support a clean and healthy environment through eco-education and by promoting responsible attitudes toward nature among the gpublic I am passionate about innovation, excellence in legal services, and contributing to a better environment for future generations. I enjoy collaborating with professionals from diverse fields to create solutions that deliver added value and a positive impact on the world.
What emerging technologies do you see as having the most significant impact on the legal profession in the near future, and how do you stay updated on these developments?
I see AI-based tools having a significant impact on the legal profession in the near future. These tools can automate tasks like document review, contract analysis, and legal research, which boosts both efficiency and accuracy.
To stay current with these developments, I follow legal tech publications, attend industry conferences, and join webinars or workshops. I also explore new tools through pilot programs or collaborations, which gives me firsthand insight into how they can transform legal workflows.
In your opinion, what are the main trends that are salient in your country currently (these can be legal, political, economy or business-based)?
The main trends currently shaping my country are predominantly political. I’ve observed a noticeable deterioration in the quality of politicians, which has led to the implementation of populist measures that may have immediate appeal but are likely to have negative long-term economic impacts.
These populist policies often prioritise short-term gains over sustainable economic development, resulting in increased public spending without corresponding revenue generation. This could lead to budget deficits and higher debt levels, ultimately harming economic stability and growth.
Additionally, legal trends are being negatively influenced by these new politicians. The shifting political landscape often brings about changes in legislation that reflect populist agendas rather than sound governance principles. This results in increased regulatory uncertainty and inconsistencies in the application of the law, making it challenging for businesses and citizens to navigate the legal landscape.
