Career biography

I am a professional with 20 years of experience in the legal field. I started my legal career as a litigator in 2003. For the last 14 years, I have managed the legal departments of a few mid and large sized Romanian companies. Additionally, I served as General Secretary for 2 years.

My areas of specialisation include company law, capital markets, energy, competition, commercial law, public procurement, labor law, privatisation legislation, state aid, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and litigation. I have extensive experience in the energy, transport, and tourism sectors.

Currently, I am the Head of the Legal Department of Electrica, the parent company of the Electrica Group and have had the position for 10 years. I also serve on the Board of Directors for two renewable energy production companies within the Group. One of the projects closest to my heart was the listing of Electrica on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) and the London Stock Exchange (LSE). Among the major projects I have been involved in is the merger of the Group’s three distribution companies in 2020, with Electrica leading the way. This year, our example has been followed by other Romanian energy companies. We are currently focused on developing the Group’s green energy production line,as well as expanding in other energy related production activities.
