Hong Kong-based Matthew Slater has extensive experience advising on deals across Asia and is known as one of the region’s most capable in-house corporate lawyers. He was appointed managing director at Goldman Sachs in 2012 after joining the bank in 2010, moving in-house after a successful career in private practice at several high-profile international law firms. Slater accrued his broad and in-depth experience by previously working as investment banking counsel at Merrill Lynch, in addition to stints at Clifford Chance and Latham & Watkins.
