Bank Central Asia (BCA) is Indonesia’s largest lender by market value and the second largest bank by assets. Indonesia-based Subur Tan has been a director of BCA since May 2002 and is responsible for the Compliance, Legal, Human Capital Management and Learning and Development divisions of the company. BCA’s legal team is in charge of ensuring the company’s market position remains stable. The team recently assisted BCA in closing a number of important strategic transactions for the company, including the purchase of 30% of shares in Central Santosa Finance. It has also been commended for supporting BCA’s crack down on controversial bitcoin payments in tandem with the special crimes unit of national police forces.
