The group legal, compliance and risk management department is an agile, versatile, innovative and progressive department. Team members with diverse backgrounds are ready to take up new challenges adapting fast into the ever-changing market and meeting the greater demand from stakeholders such as regulators, authorities, customers, financiers and investors. The department acts as a gate keeper for the Group ensuring that the Group complies with the relevant laws, regulations and standards; and remains competitive and sustainable.

The legal team is involved in diversified businesses ranging from machineries and automotive distribution, vehicle assembly, consumer products, travel, vehicle and machineries leasing, car sharing and auction platforms as well as insurance. Also, we are very active in deals with various areas of work including (i) legal work; (ii) compliance on privacy, competition etc.; (iii) anti-money laundering for leasing and insurance businesses; (iv) integrity on the implementation of initiatives supporting the adequate policies put in place to counter corporate liability under Section 17A of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act; (v) business and corruption risk management; and (vi) implementation of sustainability programmes and sustainability reporting. Lastly, we have a good understanding of how to collaborate with colleagues from the countries which the group operates in.
