Bio

Carlos has spent most of his professional career at the MAXAM Group, which he joined as General Counsel more than 25 years ago. Since then, he has combined his in-company legal advisory duties with various executive responsibilities as a member of the Management Committee and the Board of Directors of the parent company and several of its subsidiaries. Currently, he holds the position of Director – Secretary of MAXAM.

Throughout his career, he has actively taken part and led various investment and divestment processes of the Group, both upstream and downstream, the acquisition and disposal of different companies and business units, restructurings, and other complex corporate operations, both locally and in several of the foreign jurisdictions in which the group operates or has operated.
