Bio
John Rigau is Vice President and General Counsel for PepsiCo Western Europe. John leads a team of lawyers located in various European legal hubs covering the responsibility of fifteen markets. John also leads the Europe Sustainability legal practice and is a member of the Global Sustainability team. From 2016 to July 2018, John served as President of the Spanish Beverages Association, being its Vice President until 2024.
During his tenure at PepsiCo, he has held different positions within the Law, Public Policy and Government Affairs Department, including the responsibility for Pizza Hut and KFC for South Europe and North Africa and the Legal direction of PepsiCo Foods Europe, handling the business expansion projects and M&A transactions in markets like Poland, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and Israel. John is also member of the Board of Directors of several PepsiCo companies and Joint-Ventures in Europe.
John served as President of the in-house lawyers commission at the Barcelona Bar Association and is currently a regular speaker at ESADE and ISDE Law School. Prior to PepsiCo, John was an associate at Baker & McKenzie in Barcelona. John holds a Law degree from the Barcelona University (UAB) and post-graduate legal studies at Kiel University (Germany) and executive education at Columbia Business School (New York).
