Countries in Latam your company operates in: Mexico and Argentina

What are the most significant cases or transactions in the Latam region that you or your legal team has recently been involved in?

Most recently, our legal department has primarily focused on day-to-day employment law support to our business. Before joining American Express, 9 months ago, in my prior company, Accenture, I was part of the team who managed several acquisitions in Latin America, including major ones in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.

The unusual business environment created by the pandemic has been swiftly followed by the Ukraine crisis, attendant supply chain costs rising and inflation. Are you now putting more emphasis on preparing for the unforeseen and, if so, what does this entail?

Of course, we are all worried about high inflation, and we are preparing for the potential impact this may have, being more vigilant in what relates to outside counsel expenditure, among other important measures.
