Since 2012, Anne Gynnerstedt has been the senior vice president, general counsel and secretary to the board of directors at Vattenfall, bringing her experience from Saab, SAS and the Swedish National Debt Office, in both general counsel and executive management positions. Vattenfall is a leading European energy company, owned by the Swedish state, having operated for more than 100 years in the electric energy sector. The company is committed to being fossil fuel free within a generation and it is a leader in the sustainable and renewable energy production, as well as climate smart energy solutions. Gynnerstedt has expertly led the legal team and served the board through some of Vattenfall’s most notable innovations and successes in the last six years, as well as its high profile litigation against the German state at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) in Washington D.C., for its loss of revenue in the nuclear power sector in Germany. Further proving her versatility and commitment to cutting-edge technological innovation, she is also on the board of the Swedish Space Corporation, a leading global provider of advanced space services.
