Vice president and general counsel | Alfa Laval
Alfa Laval is a global leader in the engineering of specialised products and technologies for heat transfer, separation and fluid handling. It creates solutions to help clients to heat, cool, separate and transport food, beverages, chemicals and petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, starch, sugar and ethanol. Operating in nearly 100 countries with around 18,000 employees, its products are in use at power plants, aboard ships, in mechanical engineering projects, the mining industry, wastewater facilities and in refrigeration. In her post since November 2015, Emma Adlerton has expertly led the company on legal matters surrounding these activities, and in doing so has helped shape its strategy and growth. Adlerton, as vice president and general counsel, is involved in the company’s newest contracts and other negotiations. In June 2018, Alfa Laval won an order to supply heat exchangers for heat recovery, and cooling systems in a petrochemical plant making ethylene glycol across different locations in the Middle East, starting in 2019, a deal with a value of approximately SEK55m, a major success for the company. Adlerton first joined Alfa Laval in 2008 as a legal counsel after being in private practice at MAQS and working in the district court of Norrtälje kommun.
