Since September 2010, Eva Rydén has been general counsel, secretary of the board of directors and head of the in-house legal team at Boliden, a Nasdaq Stockholm listed metals company. She leads a team of lawyers advising on a wide range of legal and business issues within corporate affairs, governance, securities, M&A, general commercial and contracting, finance, dispute avoidance and resolution and litigation. Rydén’s remit also includes corporate administration, and she is concerned with important preparation work for board and committee meetings, maintenance of minute books and administration of domestic and global subsidiaries, general meetings of shareholders, annual and quarterly reports. Rydén’s responsibilities are comprehensive not only in terms of her role, but geographically too, as Boliden’s operations span Sweden, Norway, Finland and Ireland with an annual turnover of SEK40bn and 5,000 employees. It’s a leading company in terms of environmental standards and sustainability in the metals and mining sector, whilst also being positioned as a leading metal recycling business.
