Atlas Copco is a leading sustainable producer of vacuum systems, power tools, assembly systems and construction equipment. Currently the senior vice president and general counsel at the historic Swedish industrials company, Håkan Osvald has a deep knowledge of the business having spent time across a number of roles within the company. Osvald’s leadership and experience is invaluable as he leads the legal team to achieve the highest standards in sustainability for its products, transparency for its business, and management for its employees. First employed by the company in 1985, Osvald previously undertook the role of general counsel for Atlas Copco North America and Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company in the US. He has also served in other positions including vice president deputy general counsel, with a special responsibility for acquisitions, as well as being general counsel of operations at the company. Since 2012, he has acted as the secretary of the board of directors for Atlas Copco. He brings his decades of in-house legal experience, commercial acumen and education to his position. In addition to his work at Atlas Copco, Osvald is the chair of ICC Sweden, a competition reference group and member of the Board of Sweden-China Trade Council.
