Dustin Group is a leading online based IT-partner with operations in the Nordics and the Netherlands. Sara Edlund serves as general counsel and head of legal and leads a ‘small but highly skilled’ team of five counsels. She is also secretary to the board of directors. Supporting the business with expert advice, the legal team leads the group data privacy programme, the business ethics programme and the enterprise risk management, and focuses on areas including governance and risk, corporate and compliance, contract and commercial as well as M&A. Senior legal counsel Sabina Kihlberg is mainly responsible for corporate affairs, the business ethics programme, and the data privacy control framework. She also heads the cross-functional business ethics working group. Another notable team member is Daniel Nässelkvist, senior legal counsel, who deals with contract management processes. The team has been steadily expanding since the legal function was established in 2014 when Edlund joined. As a response to Dustin’s strategy to grow by acquisitions, the team expanded to two members in 2015. In addition, to support Dustin’s broadened offering within advanced services and meet increased regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, three new members joined between 2018 and 2019. Recently the team has been involved in some significant deals, including a project to develop AI-based reviews of contracts in spring 2019.
