iZettle
iZettle is a Swedish financial technology company founded in 2010, offering a range of financial products including payments, point of sales, funding and partners applications. Its legal department is led by general counsel Oskar Arndt and includes six other talented in-house counsel. Amongst these, Therese Schuil, has been recognised as instrumental in building a best-in-class privacy function, by working closely with all business functions such as security and IT. Malin Buch has been driving many major vendor negotiations and has been instrumental in setting up and expanding the iZettle capital business. Since first joining the company, Amalia Struwe has worked tirelessly to support the entire organisation from advising on marketing campaigns to regulatory assessments. The team welcomed three new members in April 2019 – Saga Wolgers, Adam Rångemyr, and Mikaela Rosén – who provide legal expertise on commercial contracts, corporate and commercial matters, and privacy and CSR matters respectively. Recently the team has become a part of a larger organisation following PayPal’s acquisition of iZettle, and has been growing to support the wider business and product portfolio. According to Arndt, the team works hard to ‘align our way or working with our company values: easy, reliable and inspiring. We trust and support each other and our colleagues, regardless of which team they belong to or what title they have. Each member of the legal team at iZettle works with broad mandates to ensure timely and best-in-class advice that can really help our business partners succeed in whatever they are doing – building new products or procuring new vendors’.
