With more than 10 years of international and senior experience from two global packaging providers, Tetra Pak and Sidel of the Tetra Laval Group, Christer Carling brings his strong knowledge of the industry to his current role as executive vice president and group general counsel for Sidel group. As a member of the executive group and leadership team of Sidel group, he reports to the president and CEO, managing a full functioning team, with budget responsibility for the global legal affairs function, including legal, intellectual property, corporate governance and compliance. Carling has extensive experience working with executive management and operational teams, and has played an integral role in transforming Sidel legal affairs by providing enhanced services with a significantly improved risk at a reduced cost, with little reliance on external counsel. He has recently been tasked with a company-wide reorganisation and transformation programme. Carling previously lead the Scandinavian corporate law firm, Mannheimer Swartling, and corporate headquarters of Swedish Match. Prior to joining Sidel, he served as a legal counsel for Tetra Pak for three years.
