Christoph Hammer has been chief legal officer at COFRA Holding, a privately owned multi-billion conglomerate since 2011. COFRA is an active global investor in retail, real estate, private equity and investment management services. Hammer is responsible for all legal affairs and compliance matters for the group and has, since October 2016, been acting chief legal officer of C&A global, a subsidiary of COFRA Holdings. He is the chairman of the board and a board member of more than 20 group companies including a FINMA regulated company. Prior to his joining COFRA Hammar was senior vice president and general counsel international at McDonalds, responsible for all legal affairs outside of the Americas, and has senior in-house experience at EXPO Vienna. An Austrian, Swiss and New York qualified lawyer with considerable corporate and financial legal quality and commercial acumen, Hammer returns to the Powerlist having continued to impress peers.
