Dr Marc Pfeffer has served as the group general counsel for global transport and logistics company, Kuehne + Nagel since 2014. During his four years in the role he has implemented a number of significant improvements, one of which being the overall cost, efficiency and recruiting requirements. He is particularly proud of the international cooperation he has encouraged, which he bases on his personalised law firm expert team approach, a topic he has spoken about in numerous Swiss publications. Prior to going in-house he advised Kuehne Holding and Kuehne Foundation as attorney-at-law. Between 2006 and 2012 Dr Pfeffer was head of international legal affairs and later served as the general counsel at OC Oerlikon Corporation. Before assuming this role he served as general counsel for railway infrastructure manager, DB Netz, in Frankfurt having joined from DB group’s corporate head office as deputy head, antitrust law. For over twenty years Dr Pfeffer has been a member of the antitrust expert group at the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) and worked for GRUR in Cologne from 1999 through 2002. Previously he worked with the German cartel office’s directorate within international competition affairs as well as the US Federal Trade Commission’s international affairs division. He is also a member of the board of directors of Ruf Holding, an affiliate of high-end sports car producer Ruf Automobile.
