Patrick Heymann is the general counsel responsible for all legal affairs of Swiss International (SWISS), Edelweiss Air and the Lufthansa Group Switzerland. Heymann amasses eight years of executive responsibility in airline sales, distribution, pricing and marketing and has a record in leading and transforming virtual teams. He serves as secretary of the board and as member of the finance committee and the SWISS Group compliance committee. Heymann is an entrepreneurial lawyer with expertise in international business transactions, including Switzerland, the EU, the BRIC nations and the Americas. His areas of expertise include international litigation and arbitration, regulatory affairs, tax, corporate governance, compliance and data protection. He joined SWISS in 2006 as legal counsel, where he provided unprejudiced legal advice during the first pilot strike in civil aviation history in Switzerland. He was also able to expand his M&A expertise, working on the acquisition of the largest leisure carrier in Switzerland and a private jet operation. In 2009 he went on to serve as head of sales and marketing in Russia and Ukraine, responsible for all commercial and administrative matters of SWISS in Russia and Ukraine, negotiated traffic lights and helped to launch SWISS.com in Russian. In 2014 he became senior director, head of SWISS the Americas.
