Philippe L’Eplattenier is an established financial lawyer in the country, having worked for several multinational banks and financial institutions throughout his career. He currently serves as the general counsel for Banque Cantonale Vaudoise (BCV), among the leading banks in Switzerland and part of the 24 cantonal banks serving in Switzerland’s 26 cantons. L’Eplattenier encompasses 20 years of legal and compliance experience in banking law for Swiss and international companies and prides himself for his solid management, communication and organisational skills. Prior to his current role he worked at HSBC, initially as head of compliance advisory and then later as head of legal Geneva, and deputy general counsel. Before this, he served as head of compliance, and company secretary for investment bank, Vontobel, between 1999 and 2003. Adding to his financial experience, before this role he had a spell at LCL, a national retail banking network that merged with Crédit Agricole in 2003, as legal counsel.
