A seasoned business lawyer with over eleven years of in-house counsel experience, Thomas Gross is currently in charge of Swissport Group’s legal, compliance and risk management organisation, also acting as company secretary. His key fields of activity involve covering these functions by implementing internal regulations and processes to prevent the company from incurring major legal, liability and reputational exposures. Although Gross joined Swissport in April 2018, he has impressively climbed up the ranks, joining as senior legal counsel and compliance officer, before being promoted to head of the legal department and company secretary, and then finally to his current role as general counsel and company secretary. Gross also worked for stock listed multinational company, Sulzer Group, as a senior legal counsel, active in the markets of oil and gas, aviation, automotive, power generation, water, pulp and paper and industrial services. As a regional counsel, covering the EMEA area, his responsibilities included the management of a regional team of legal and contract managers.
