About

Elisabeth Leimbacher is head counsel portfolio and pipeline at Takeda, a 242-year old leading pharmaceutical company headquartered in Japan. 

In her role, Elisabeth leads a team of internal lawyers advising on all legal matters relating to the launch and commercialisation of medicinal products in Europe-Canada. 

She is a qualified attorney (New York, Paris, Zurich Bar) and a certified mediator. Before joining Takeda, she spent several years in law firms (Paris, Switzerland, Singapore), advising clients in litigation and international arbitration disputes.  

Furthermore, she has received the HBA rising star award.  

Elisabeth is French and lives in Basel with her family.
