Led by award-winning general counsel Koenraad Van Himbeeck since 2002, the Swiss legal team at Honeywell Technologies has been driven towards excellence by a combination of strong leadership and a supportive corporate culture. Many of the team’s recent achievements have revolved around standardisation of processes and improving the global efficiencies for the American multinational conglomerate. The team has also organised a global risk assessment process and outsourced part of the legal procurement work to emerging regions. With the help of the team, Van Himbeeck had a leading role in setting up a management operating system ensuring communication between members of the Honeywell Technologies legal department in Europe, the US and Asia. The team has set up the central function tasked with fully integrating the new Honeywell compliance system into the business. Recently, the team has helped oversee the acquisition of Swiss-based aviation software developer Aviaso.
