Sonova has been helping to introduce wireless technology and cochlear implants to the wider market, allowing users of its devices to experience less intrusive improvements to hearing. General counsel Patrick Büchi and assistant general counsel Tiina Suomela have played a key role in overseeing the regulatory and IP challenges introduced by this strategy and, with the wider team, have helped the company grow its global presence in over 90 countries. Sonova recently agreed to acquire leading hearing aid retailer AudioNova for €860m, a move which will allow it to offer point-of-sale audiological services to improve its offering.
