The talented in-house legal team at Swiss Post returns to the GC Powerlist: Switzerland Teams after its inclusion in the 2016 edition, impressing nominators with their expert transactional work. The team is hard at work as it has been announced that Swiss Post is in advanced talks with Keolis to sell CarPostal France. A subsidiary of SNCF signed an exclusivity agreement with Swiss Post for the sale in May 2019, and the legal team is in the process of finalising the deal and conducting all of the statutory requirements. The legal team was also centrally involved in the refinancing settlement agreement between Swiss Post and the Swiss government, securing the approval of the 18 Cantons in the process. This deal paved the way for the company to settle its obligations regarding Post Bus’ debts and other challenges and has been a major success in the last year.
