Audrey Guaqueta joined Ecopetrol USA’s leadership team as general counsel and corporate secretary, in October 2024.

Audrey has over 19 years of legal experience, with ten years in management, holding key roles such as Managing Attorney, Assistant General Counsel, Head of Legal, VP & Corporate Secretary at major energy companies. She is recognized for her experience in leading teams and delivering high quality, business oriented legal services on capital-intensive dossiers across the energy value chain. A resilient, adaptable global leader and deal lawyer, Audrey is capable of steering teams to execute high-level strategic, executive and management initiatives. She builds and leverages networks, influence decision-making and mentors others to serve senior and executive management on global and complex matters, particularly through periods of transition and uncertainty. She has substantial experience with energy majors working on strategic and complex dossiers, including delivering and leading teams on M&A and joint venture activities, capital intensive construction projects, and complex long-term arrangements, while ensuring the legal function delivers high-quality, business oriented legal services.

Audrey holds a JD from the University of Houston Law Center, and a law degree from Universidad de Rosario (Colombia) and, and is licensed to practice law in Texas. Audrey’s strengths include legal project management, business dealmaking and strategy, and legal department leadership. She enjoys spending time with her kids, exploring the walks and trails in and around Houston, Texas, and has recently picked up pickleball as her go-to hobby.
