How do you see the general counsel role evolving in Thailand over the next five to ten years?

I believe the general counsel role in Thailand is expected to become more multifaceted and influential in the coming years. General counsel will need to possess not only strong legal expertise but also business acumen and adaptability, embracing technology and legal innovation as well as the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes. They will increasingly be involved in high-level decision-making processes, providing legal advice that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives. They will not only focus on legal compliance but also contribute to shaping corporate strategies and risk management. They will be integral to guiding organisations through legal challenges while contributing to strategic decision-making and fostering a culture of compliance and ethics.
