What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?
My legal team works on ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, especially concerning digital asset’s regulations in Thailand that have been heavily enforced in the past years . They develop and implement compliance programmes, conduct internal audits, and provide guidance on regulatory requirements. Apart from this, they handle various dispute resolution processes, such as negotiations, mediation, or litigation for crypto cases. They represent the organisation’s interests in legal proceedings or work with external counsel for complex cases.
What are some of your tips for dealing with an in-house legal crisis?
Here are my little two tips to share: Act promptly and assess the situation, as soon as a legal crisis arises, it is essential to gather all available information and assess the situation accurately. Identify the potential risks, legal implications, and immediate actions required to mitigate the crisis.
Engage the appropriate stakeholders: Inform and involve key stakeholders within the organisation who need to be aware of the crisis. This may include senior management, relevant departments, and the board of directors. Establish clear lines of communication and ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed throughout the crisis.
