What are the most significant cases or transactions that you have recently been involved in?
I have recently managed several sale and purchase transactions as part of our fleet rejuvenation process, which involves disposing of older vessels and acquiring newer, more fuel-efficient, and larger ones. These transactions are time-sensitive and require meticulous attention to documentation, as well as strong coordination skills with multiple parties across various global locations.
How do you see the general counsel role evolving in Thailand over the next five-ten years?
General counsel will increasingly act as strategic advisors, offering valuable guidance on legal and regulatory matters to senior management and the board. Our responsibilities will extend beyond legal opinions and compliance, actively shaping business strategies and participating in key decision-making processes. With the uncertainties in interpreting laws, risk management will become a crucial focus. General counsel will need to anticipate legal risks, develop effective mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with evolving laws and regulations.
How do you motivate and manage your legal team well?
I firmly believe in leading by example. I motivate my team by being a good role model, demonstrating dedication and professionalism in all my actions. I encourage them to continually read and expand their knowledge, and I emphasize the importance of clear and effective communication. By setting high standards for myself, I inspire my team to strive for excellence.
