The legal department at Sabancı Holding, the largest industrial and financial conglomerate in Turkey by profit, is a business-oriented, dynamic, dedicated and solid team composed of four experienced lawyers, each experts in their own area of practice. The composition of the legal team has been transformed almost entirely in the past two years with a new legal affairs director and two new team members having joined, each bringing their own valuable expertise to the table. The primary focus of the team is working and providing legal advice on big ticket international and domestic M&A deals, joint venture agreements, initial public offerings and intellectual property rights of Sabancı Holding and its affiliates. As legal affairs director Ruba Unkan says: ‘Since Sabancı Group is active in energy, cement, retail, insurance and automotive sectors among others, we get to know many different businesses.
