Established in 2009 as a joint venture by Türk Hava Yolları and OPET Petrolcülük, THY OPET operates in the field of fuel storage and refuelling of aircrafts and ranks as one of the top 25 largest companies in Turkey by market capitalisation. Until August this year, its legal team was led by Ozan Alakuştekin, who established the function. Alakuştekin has since moved to Total Oil Turkey, but his excellent work at THY OPET has left a strong legacy team. One nominator noted, ‘it is difficult to build teams in this sector because there is a lot of competition – both within Turkey and internationally – but the THY OPET team stands out as a very competent and highly skilled group of attorneys.’
