One of the top three largest private-sector conglomerates in Turkey with a portfolio of 250 companies, Doğuş Holding is an important player within Turkish business. General counsel of the organisation, Ahmet Kurutluoğlu continues to lead the in-house legal team for the holding company which was previously recognised in the GC Powerlist: Turkey Teams 2016. His team is highly influential within the organisation by helping the company form major deals whilst protecting it from various legal challenges and regulatory hurdles. In May 2018, members of the team were highly praised for their contribution towards Doğuş Group’s 20-year partnership with the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism that will see Doğuş Group become the sole partner of Göbeklitepe, the world’s oldest ritual complex.
