The legal team at Mey İçki has routinely impressed peers in the Turkish legal market. Under the leadership of Meltem Azbazda the legal team continues to provide expert legal advice and training within the wine and spirits making company providing an in-house legal educational philosophy that guides the company’s actions and plays a key role in its strategy. This educational focus is important given Mey İçki’s efforts to thwart the black market in alcohol is a company-wide effort. The team has applied itself to become more commercial minded and protective of the industry, including the victory in a lawsuit over the export of bulk Rakı in 2015.
