The Turkish arm of the US multinational consumer products company Procter & Gamble (P&G) has a legal team of five professionals, and is led by Ozge Ayoz, legal and government relations director and associate general counsel for Turkey, Caucasia, the Arabian Peninsula and Pakistan. The team sees itself as a vital business partner, highly focused on supporting the company’s business goals with end-to-end involvement in business planning, product launches, corporate restructuring projects, labour strategies and much more. It is central to the transactional work of the company, and has a leadership role on multiple fronts with matters involving corporate structuring, labour issues and trade activities that are only resolved and executed with the legal department’s input. This is due to the way the team has been co-ordinated: Ayoz is a board member of the company and member of the executive board with rest of the team being members of functional leadership teams, working together with business leaders regularly.
