Does the team use any “legal tech” products, and do you find them a helpful management device?

Yes, my team uses legal tech products. We use multiple legal tech tools that support our work in many aspects and purposes — managing invoices (reporting, setting payments remainders, keeping track of expenses, and generating invoices); managing contracts (storing the revised and signed copies, listing agreements, and contracting parties, filtering, sorting and reporting contracts and requesting approvals from other departments); managing projects (listing and following up daily tasks, assigning responsibilities, setting reminders and following up deadlines); and reviewing recently published articles regarding the local and international practice. Project management is essential to follow and complete tasks efficiently, especially considering the dynamic structure of technology companies. Additionally, technology plays a significant role in keeping the team’s motivation high.

As we enter the next decade, what skills will a corporate legal team need to succeed in the modern in-house industry?

I have been an in-house counsel in the technology sector for ten years, and I can undoubtedly affirm that the skills that a corporate legal team must have in order to succeed in the modern in-house industry are all related to technology — quick learning, using digital tools, managing data, and following industry trends.
