Serhat Demir, born in 1974 in Istanbul, joined Turkcell, the leading mobile operator of Türkiye, as chief legal and regulation officer in May 2015. In addition to this existing role, Mr. Demir also acted as chief human resources officer between March 2020 and September 2021. He is also the board member of Turkcell’s affiliates namely Global Bilgi; the leading call center company of Türkiye, Superonline, the second largest fiber internet service provider of Türkiye and Global Tower, a tower infrastructure service provider.

Between 2007 and 2015 Mr. Demir acted as legal affairs director of Çalık Holding and between 2003 and 2007 worked as a lawyer at Yıldız Holding. Demir graduated from Istanbul University – Faculty of Law and started his professional career in 1997 at Dun & Bradstreet, a global commercial data, analytics and business insights firm.
