What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

There are several significant matters, but I shall name a few. Firstly, we have been involved in transactions concerning the expansion of our fleet through financial and operating leases. Secondly, the reorganisation of the relationship between the subsidiaries and Turkish Airlines. Furthermore, we have also been involved in the establishment of new subsidiary companies to support and ease the operations of Turkish Airlines.

What strategic priorities are guiding you and your team in 2024?

Working in one of the most regulated industries, my top priority is to ensure the company complies with all applicable rules and regulations. Additionally, sustainability and ESG requirements are always among our top priorities. Risk management is also an important element. Taking into consideration new legislations regarding data protection around the world, data privacy and security are also on our list of priorities. Moreover, collaboration and communication with other departments and stakeholders are essential in order to fully understand their requests and support them effectively.
