What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

There are five separate teams in the legal department that I am leading: General Advisory, which works on the digital and innovative projects of the bank related to mobile banking services; Litigation, which handles internet fraud cases; Project Finance, Treasury, and International Banking Advisory, which manages syndicated loans, AT1 bond issues, and financial restructuring; Data Protection, Competition, and Sustainability, which follows new regulations; and Contract Management, which oversees digital contracts.

What strategic priorities are guiding you and your team in 2024?

I can specifically state that the most important strategies are understanding and learning your clients’ business very well, solving legal problems with the most effective methodologies while complying with appropriate regulations, and being an expert or professional in the legal areas in which you are practicing.

Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?

I am truly passionate about following the new legal technologies (Legal Tech) and exploring the legal design aspects that can be adopted and facilitated for lawyers.
