What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

We are in the middle of a transformation for the automotive sector, and also for the legal market. Zero emission vehicle transformation leads to several challenges in respect to customer preferences, market behaviours and distribution model. Revisiting our current business models, designing new processes together with our business colleagues were one of the major highlights of last year. Since we combine our roles as ESG coordinator and legal department under one umbrella, we are one of the main players within the company in setting ESG ambitions, KPI’s while focusing into Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and Sustainability Reporting regulations in EU since Türkiye’s regulations and emission reduction phase out has not entered into force yet.

What strategic priorities are guiding you and your team in 2024?

Some of our main objectives are to further develop governance of AI technology, ensure compliance with German Supply Chain DD Law, and further improve our ChatBoT (“StarBoT”) for daily legal and compliance questions from our colleagues
