What are the most significant cases and transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

Covering several countries, my team helped to complete the final steps of the ongoing integration of TNT operations, acquired by FedEx back in 2017. An integration of this level and scale requires the execution of several transactions in several areas of law, to ensure compliance with regulations and business continuity for our customers, team members and any other stakeholders.

What strategic priorities are guiding you and your team in 2024?

We are excited about our recent investment in Istanbul Airport, where we will operate an Air Gateway Station that will not only serve our local operations, but will also act as a global transit hub, positioning Türkiye and Istanbul Airport as a strategic location for the global operations of FedEx Express.

Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?

Since childhood, I have been passionate about flying, and aviation has always been one of my main areas of interest. While I consider myself lucky for working in one of the biggest airlines in the world, I also got the chance to practice flying personally and obtain my commercial pilot license. I am keen to deepen my knowledge on aviation regulations and contribute to the development of valuable strategies and policies both at company and public level.
