Could you share with us the story of your path to becoming an in-house counsel? What motivated you to choose this career path?
I started my career in a law office and worked over more than 5 years as a lawyer and after that, I had a chance to move to an in-house part of legal practice with the available position where I work today. To work in a corporate environment and represent the company with an official title as a legal counsellor motivated me to choose this internal legal practice career path. The corporate environment and becoming a part of a team in the company make feel me more beneficial and sense of belonging to the company than before. I have been working towards the way of becoming a general counsel in the future and improving my skills in legal practice to be successful within this career path.

What are some of the key challenges you have faced as a rising star in-house counsel, and how have you overcome them?
When I moved to a position as an in-house counsel in the bank, ı was obliged to work as a sole practitioner there. This was a really big challenge for me while I was trying to learn the process within the company and my main responsibilities there. Then, I started to make more effort to overcome this challenge by reading internal documents and get information from these documents about my role and after that, I got used to work as an in-house counsel even though numerous changes in legislations had been made over past years. Nowadays, ı have been improving my executive skills and tried to make a work-life balance.
