Intellectual property litigation occupies a prominent position in the legal landscape, representing a complex intersection of law, technology, and creativity. As legal custodians of innovation, lawyers are entrusted with safeguarding intangible assets such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. At the forefront of IP litigation are patent disputes, where companies fiercely defend their inventions against infringement or challenge the validity of patents asserted against them. These cases often involve intricate technical analyses, expert witnesses, and lengthy court proceedings. The globalization of markets has led to an increase in cross-border IP disputes, necessitating coordination among legal teams operating in multiple jurisdictions. In conclusion, intellectual property litigation encompasses a broad spectrum of legal challenges, reflecting the dynamic nature of innovation and commerce in the modern era. Accordingly, I would like to share with you that my team and I have achieved great success in our company’s patent protection processes with the leadership of global team during the past period and that we have ensured protection by taking legal actions against infringements in a timely manner.

What strategic priorities are guiding you and your team in 2024?

It is obvious that enhancing technology has a great impact on the legal system. In a period when data is so important, accordingly, it is a necessity and obligation for in-house counsel who must keep their knowledge up to date to follow the current developments in technologies such as artificial intelligence, and their reflections on the legal system where data is so important. The artificial intelligence system designed to be used in the field of law has an undeniable success rate and will be used and requested by many companies to minimise human error and assist employees by completing a certain job in a very short time. Therefore, it is an absolute necessity for both me and my team to keep abreast of current legal developments, to adapt our ways of doing business to changing technology and to quickly adapt to innovative working conditions.

Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?

I believe that it is a privilege to have a job which one is passionate about. It will reflect positively on your work results and team members. I can say that I have that privilege, I am working for a company whose mission is to discover new ways to improve and extend people’s lives. As an in-house counsel, it makes me very honored to work in a company using science-based innovation to address some of society’s most challenging healthcare issue, discovering and developing breakthrough treatments and finding new ways to deliver them to as many people as possible. Every day, I contribute to have the successful results of this mission.
