Jay Stephens has been with Raytheon for just over a decade, and in that time has successfully transformed the department from a reactive one to a proactive one. Not only did he grow the team substantially, he implemented a cultural shift to allow the legal department a much bigger role in decision-making – essentially, he gave it a ‘seat at the table’, says a team member. The shift also entailed a much bigger emphasis on ethics and compliance.
