Sabine Chalmers has led her company through two landmark M&A transactions in recent years: there was the acquisition of Anheuser-Busch Companies for $52bn in late 2008, and the acquisition of Mexico’s Grupo Modelo for $20bn in 2013. The latter saw Chalmers leading successful negotiations with the US DOJ, and a year-long review. Now her role within what is one of the world’s five largest consumer products companies sees her engaged in matters all across the globe, in both established and emerging markets. Paul Schnell, of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP says ‘Chalmers is an indefatigable advocate who brings sharp intelligence, judgment and creativity to handling a wide range of legal matters for the company, from acquisitions to financings, governance and products liability matters’.
