Julie Gruber has amassed an extremely detailed knowledge of Gap’s operations over the course of an extremely long and successful tenure with the global clothing titan. Joining the company in 1998, Gruber’s role has grown over time to include intellectual property across all brands and functional areas including privacy, records and archives, global integrity, regulatory compliance, real estate, commercial and franchise law. Gruber was appointed as Gap’s general counsel in February of 2016. Prior to joining Gap, Gruber was an associate at Bronson, Bronson and McKinnon in San Francisco and clerked for the Honourable Ronald M. Whyte in the Federal District Court in San Jose.
