Noni L. Ellison is Carestream Dental’s general counsel, chief compliance officer and corporate secretary. As the leader of Carestream Dental’s legal and compliance teams, she manages legal and business professionals based in France, the UK, China and the US. In addition, Ellison oversees facilities, security and real estate worldwide. Prior to joining Carestream Dental, a provider of industry-leading dental digital product lines and services, Ellison served as associate general counsel and assistant corporate secretary at Grainger, where she was responsible for leading the support on finance, treasury and governance issues globally. Before Grainger, Ellison held roles of increasing responsibility at Turner Broadcasting Systems, often handling licensing and other intellectual property matters. She was a lead marketing attorney for Turner’s entertainment networks and managed the legal support for their music division. She also completed a long-term assignment in Turner’s Hong Kong office, negotiating international joint venture and licensing deals. In addition, Ellison worked at Scripps Networks, and with two prominent national law firms. During this time, she handled a variety of distribution, finance, bankruptcy, corporate governance and business formation issues. Ellison received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard University, magna cum laude, earning her law degree and MBA from the University of Chicago. Ellison is an active community contributor and, in 2012, she received the Justice Benham Service to Community Award from the State Bar of Georgia. Ellison is also the recipient of numerous other awards and appointments, including being appointed by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners to the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority board of directors, where she served as vice-chair for three years. Ellison currently serves on the board of visitors for the University of Chicago and the Atlanta Speech School.
