Based in Florida, the in-house legal team responsible for Latin America manages all aspects of Bupa’s litigation, customer complaints, and subrogation opportunities in the region. It oversees outside counsel when brought in to assist and develop business strategies. The team provided advice to Bupa Chile, which has become the first health group in the country to receive the ERNC certification delivered by electricity and gas distributor Enel. The award recognises that 100% of the facilities of the group – only where Bupa is able to choose the provider – are supplied by renewable electricity including Bupa’s largest hospital in Chile, Bupa Santiago Hospital, which operates using 100% clean energy.
