First, can you please give us an idea of the sort of work your team has done recently?
Recently, we have been dedicated as a team to the acquisition of a start-up game studio and the merger with a group of investors. That meant a lot of work on the preparation of reports and the study of contracts and documents. And this has also led to a significant challenge in coordination between the teams and a considerable responsibility in analysing all the information.
What is a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?
As head of legal, my work is based on three pillars: i)corporate — carry out all the reports requested by shareholders and potential investors; ii) compliance — comply with all regulatory and regulatory requirements regarding licenses, certifications and prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism; iii) provide support to the commercial team in everything related to the legal area, whether with new and old clients, new products and their proper regulation.
What can law firms do to improve their service to the legal department?
Law firms should try to automate their tasks and improve their processes with new technologies. Technology is a magnificent tool for carrying out certain types of work.
